CESP meets the two Tunisian Police Unions in Tunis (Tunisia)

Initiated by the Tunisian Observatory of Global Security (OTSG) in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the Secretary-General of the CESP and Paulo Rodrigues, President of the ASPP / PSP (Portugal Police Union) met with two Tunisian Police Unions: “Syndicat National des Forces de Sécurité Intérieure”(SNFSI) and “Union Nationale des Syndicats des Forces de Sûreté Tunisienne” (UNSFST).

The theme developed during these meetings was:'' Police unionism in Tunisia: the challenges of the future'' [437 KB] .

During the meetings, Paulo Rodrigues exposed the organization and operating of the Portuguese Police Union (ASPP / PSP); Gerard Greneron referred to the functioning the SCSI (France) and broadly, to varied experience of the CESP.

Both meetings were full of reciprocal exchanges of experience and information, in discussions addressing the challenges and developments of trade unionism in the police community in Tunisia, confronted to foreign experiences. This work led to a better understanding of the key challenges facing the Tunisian police unionism, and how, through the CESP, the European police unionists can provide support.
