October 28th and 29th, 2007 - Executive Committee of the CESP in Bucharest

The member organizations of the CESP have attended the works of the Executive Committee which subject was: “the status of the police officers” Liberal policy versus trade-union rights?
In this occasion, on October 29th, the CESP participated in a demonstration of support to the ProLex union in front of the Ministry of the lnterior.
The CESP notices that social rights relating to the danger and the difficulty of police officer's profession are questioned in numerous countries and sometimes even abolished. The CESP will watch to defend these rights on the European level and to remember to the different governments the indispensable consideration of the specificity of the police officer's profession that the President of the European Commission, Mr. José Manuel Barroso [60 KB] , recognizes to them.
