Civil society says no to dumbing down human rights protection in Europe

The Conference of INGOs voices strong opposition to a series of proposals to reform the workings of the European Court of Human Rights currently under discussion at the Council of Europe. The views of the INGO Conference will be brought to the attention of relevant bodies and in particular the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe currently chaired by the United Kingdom.
