Over 3500 police officers members of ASPP/PSP took part in a demonstration at Lisbon on October 1st.

The members of ASPP/PSP claimed respect for their collective and individual rights from the Portuguese government.  The Secretary General of the European Council of Police Trade Unions (CESP) took part in this demonstration and said at the end of it.:
”Until now, the Portuguese government has shown no sign of respecting the police officers legal rights, so the CESP have been introduced a Collective Complaint (nr. 40/2007) against Portugal at the Council of Europe”.
